ILETS Speaking part 2. Talk about a famous man whom you admire.

ILETS Speaking part 2. Talk about a famous man whom you admire.
Please say - who is he?
              - how did he become famous?
              - what do you admire most about him?

The famous man who I admire is the former president No. He was a president of Korea in 2003 to 2008. Before he became the presidents he was a lawyer(attorney) of human rights and he fought against dictatorial government aside from that he was appointed by president Kim who received a Nobel prize for peace in 2000 as minister of fisheries and oceans. After his term, he ran for the presidency and was elected as president in 2002.

The reason that I choose him as respectable person is that he was really confident and he had a strong sense of duty about making better society in Korea. And he divested himself of president’s privilege and tried to communicate with people. in order to improve democracy. of Korea. Furthermore, he tried to reform the media and press for freedom of them and he made a great effort to break corrupt relationship between governments and business men. Because of those kinds of his activities, he gained a lot of opponents, but he did not allow them to affect his convictions.

I learned about morality and justice through him and lots of Korean still respect him. So I pick him as person who I admire. I really miss him.

IELTS Speaking part 3. Do you think locations are very important for the success of shop?

Do you think locations are very important for the success of shop?

In general, I believe that locations are really significant factor because it can attract potential customers such as just people who walk on the road near the shop.  Because of the good market accessibility, many people enter the shopping center even though they don’t have any plan to buy something. However, sometimes, regardless of locations, some shops are being popular and succeed. Because they are very unique. For example, shop where sells interesting and unique items or where have special mood like that. So if they have their own competitiveness about sales, the location will be no longer big problem.

Why are some shops unsuccessful despite good locations?

I think the reason of unsuccessful shops is bad quality of their products and terrible customer service also can cuase failed bisiness. Aside from that when similar types of shops are in a one area, it can be hard to them to survive because it means that they have many market competitors.

Do you think there would be more shops in the city centers in the future?

Yes. In the future, even if a lot of poeple use online shopping mall, I believe the more shops are located in the city.

Becuase many part of our work will be substituted machine and we will have a lot of free time and as a result people will go out and having enjoyalbe time in the city centers. It can be watching movie, buying some clothes or items. So I suppose that  in the future, the more shops will appear in the city.

in the future lesser there will be manual labor since our work will be operated by machine

Do you thing that governments should plan for the improvement of cities?

No, governments should more focus on improving rural erea than cities.

I think infrastructures and the number of people who live in the cities are enough or somewhere is too much for living.
A lot of people move to city from countryside because there are not enough facilities and infrastructure like school, hospital, shopping center. It makes imbalance of population and living quility between city and countryside.
So my conviction is that governments should plan for the improvement of rural side than cities.

(So cities are too complicated and have a lot of problems such as air polluction, treffic jam and inflation like that.
we don’t need to improve our cities. In now, more important thing is thinking about how can we conserve our nature.)

What should governments consider when they design future cities?

 생각해보기..

Do you think about the increase of high-rise building in cities?

High-rise buildings are created due to the lack of space but in my case I think people should no longer build high-rise building in the citiy. I believe that we already have enough high-rise buildings. Becuase when I walk in Seoul, I can see a lot of empty buildings. And I heard the news that the number of buildings is more than the number of people who live in there. So my conviction is that we don't need to think about the increase the number of high-rise buildings in cities.

IELTS speaking part 1. Did you like your high school teachers?

Did you like your high school teachers?

To be honest, I didn’t like most my high school teaches, because the most of teachers in my school were too much focused on their students getting a high score than students’ lives, happiness.

I believed that there were more significant values such as having diverse experiences and challenging what they want to than just getting a high score but unfortunately most of them gave pressure to students included me for the acquiring of the high grade in order to go to the university. So I didn’t like my high school teachers.

Are teachers strict in your country?

No, I don’t think so. I believe that the rights of students became more important than educational authority of teachers. When my mom and dad were students, they said that their teachers were really strict and they usually physically punished them. However when I was a student, I think teachers were not too strict than before.

->Nowadays, I don't think they are strict anymore but in the past, teachers were not very strict. Mom and dad told me that their teachers were strict while in my case, my teachers were not to strict.

Do you think it is beneficial for students to like teachers?

Of course yes. When they have their favorite teachers, they will more focus on the classes and try to study hard because they don’t want to disappoint their teachers. So I suppose that it is good for students.

IELTS Speaking Part 2. Describe a person you know that dresses well.
- Who is it?
- What is her/his job?
-What kind of clothes does this person like to wear?
Explain why you think she dresses up well.

The person that I think who dresses up well is YUNA KIM. (The person I think who is a fashion icon is YUNA KIM.) She was a figure skater and she had a gold medal in the Vancouver Olympic games. Nowadays she is a TV personality and a commercial medal of diverse brand aside from that she is a honorary ambassador for the Special Olympics and UNICEF.

The reason that I choose her as a fashionable person is that she always chooses the right style according to occasion and location. When she was on the ice as a skater, she wear gorgeous costumes for the song so her costumes were usually chosen as the best dress during figure skating events.

Not only costumes, she wear suitable clothes for formal meeting and it is still stylish. So when she has a official schedule, her style was always posted on the internet and items she wore in the formal events usually sold out.
Regular days, she wears comfortable casual clothes. It's really simple but still very stylish.

Because of those kinds of reasons I pick her as a fashionable person.

IELTS Writting. The Factors of news broadcast

News editors decide what to broadcast on television and what to print in newspapers. What factors do you think influence these decisions? Do we become used to bad news, and would it be better if more good news was reported?

News editors decide what to report to audience and readers through the media and diverse factors have effect on these decisions. And I suppose that we are living in the so much bad news which can give negative effects on our life and I strongly believe that it is necessary to report more good news for our better life.

It is true that news editors have to make a difficult decision about which news stories they broadcast or publish, and there are diverse factors that affect these decisions. And I suppose that we are living in a world that focuses so much on bad news which can give negative effects in our lives and I strongly believe that it is necessary to report more good news.

There are a lot of factors of choosing the news such as controversial problems in our society, significant political events, information about international current affairs and the like. Away from those factors, I believe that interest, what kinds of news can attract people, is ultimate element of picking the news. In order to increase their readership and the ratings, news editors broadcast the sensational and infotainment news and tabloid.

Another important factor is a guidance of owner, government or major companies which support the new broadcast or newspapers as advertisers. They have a strong power about the media, so they can have effect on the news. So some editors demand a number of amendments to the writers’ articles and they try to cover up what owner, government or advertisers don’t want to broadcast or print about.

Nowadays we can easily encounter a lot of sensational and bad news such as crime, suicide, and disasters because those kinds of news intensively attract the people. Because of this reason, we are exposed to lots of bad news and our lives are filled with negative and depressed energy. Otherwise if we usually hear and see heart-warming and feel-good news such as charity, volunteers and overcome a hardship stories, I definitely believe that our lifes are going to a positive way and we will live in a better society. IELTS Writting. Students' bad behavior in schools (causes&solutions)

Introduction)

Nowadays, there are some problems about students’ bad behavior in school. There are a variety of reasons for this, but steps can definitely be taken to tackle this issue.

 Main 1)

Students’ bad attitude can come from the lack of home education. If parent are too busy to monitor and control their children or they are too lenient for their kids’ bad actions, they can be lacking in judgment between rights and wrongs thus, students tend to don’t accept or follow their parents and the school’s rules and regulations.

If parents are too busy to monitor and control their children, or they are too lenient with their kids’ bad actions, children can lack judgment between right and wrong. Thus, students tend to be rebellious and not accept or follow their parents and the school’s rules and regulations.

Another cause is that teachers are not good at guiding their students’ poor behavior. Even though they have a great teaching skill about their subject, sometimes they are not used to handle students’ bad attitude and it is hard to pay attention to every students. So when there are some problems with their students, they can’t treat that issue well and some students try to seek for attention through violence.

Main 2 )

We could solve the trouble with students’ bad behavior by parents’ proper educations. They should listen to their children more and set rules for them. If their children do wrong or rude actions, they should give punishment to them and If their kids are doing good activities, they would reward about that. Through this process they can learn difference between rights and wrongs therefore they will follow school’s rules and regulations more.

Likewise, if their kids are being nice, they would be rewarded. Through this process they can learn the difference between right and wrong, therefore, they will follow school’s rules and regulations even more.

As well as this, teachers try to communicate more with their every student and they have to learn about how to handle problem children apart from teaching skills. When students feel they are in attention and concern, they will not make problems in order to attract teacher’s attention. Aside from that, though there is trouble with problem students, if teacher can solve the problem wisely as a mediator, students will respect teacher and problems are reduced.

To conclude, students’ bad behavior can be caused by the lack of proper home education and the lack of teachers’ concern and ability for handling problem students. We could tackle this issue by parents’ home training and when teacher try to pay attention to each students and improve their handling technique about students’ poor attitude, this issue can be reduced.  (수정 필요)

IELTS speaking part 1. When did you learn how to make handcrafted items?

When did you learn how to make handcrafted items?

When I was elementary school student, we had a class for making handmade items. I can remember that I made some dolls and potteries but I was not good at making those of things because I had a lot of sweat in my hands and also I didn’t have sense of making handcrafted items.

Would you like to learn more about other kinds of handicrafts in the future?

As I mention right before I’m not good at making some items by using my hands and I have no interest in doing this kinds of activities so I don’t want to learn more about that. I prefer to buy ready made products than handmade products because I think ready made products are more beautiful.

Do you think it is important for children to learn about this?

Yes, even though I don’t like to make handmade items but I believe it can be useful for children because doing this kinds of activities can help children improve their cognitive and motor skills.

Nowadays, when do you take public transportation?

Every day I take a bus and subway both because my work place is in Seoul within one hour away from my house and I don’t have a private car so I have to use public transportation. Even if I have a car, maybe I also usually take public transportation because Seoul has a heavy traffic.

IELTS speaking part 3. Do you think it is important to learn a foreign language?

Do you think it is important to learn a foreign language?

Yes. When we are good at speaking different language, If we go travelling, we won't need the help of a translator. We can basically communicate with the locals directly, thus, maximizing our experience with them. Aside from that we are able to understand various contents form foreign videos, books, movies, and the like. So I believe that can be beneficial especially for people who would like a diverse experience.

When should children start to learn a foreign language?

I think the recommended age for children to start learning a different language is under (the x) 7 years old. After 7 years old, they will go to elementary school and formally study to learn a foreign language as a subject. It could reduce children' interest in learning another language so I suppose that learning a foreign language naturally just by using conversation, before they are going to school, is more effective for children. And in that age, kids' brains are really sensitive to learn new language, so they can learn that easily than old people, aside from that, children's minds are more open to learning new languages.

Are there negative effects to very young children, aged 4 or 5 years old, when they try to learn a foreign language?

As I mentioned, learning a foreign language during very young ages, has good effects but negative effects also in there. In this ages, they don't know the reason that they should learn a different language so if parents give a pressure to them about learning that, it can stress them out and they can be confused between mother tongue and a foreign language because mother tongue also new language for them. So I suppose that it is really hard to make them learn a foreign language without having resistance.

Are there advantages in learning various languages?

As I mentioned, If we can address various language, we could have more diverse experience. We can conversation with the locals directly during travelling so I believe that we can more feel their own unique culture. Aside from travelling when it comes to situation searching for jobs, we can have a lot of job opportunities and we can have an edge from the other job applicants, we will be in demand because we can handle a wider scope of work then just normal people and may be our salary also will be higher.

Are there advantages for children when they learn foreign languages other than English?

Of course yes. If they are enjoying and good at learning diverse languages, they will have  large advantages. Because in that age, naturally they have more ability to acquired a language so they can rapidly absorb new language than adults. If they can handle a lot of different languages, when they grow up, they can have a chance to go abroad as an exchange student and can travel another countries freely and also they can have more job opportunities. But if they have high stress about learning foreign languages, I suppose that they don't need to learn that by compulsion. I believe that they have another talent about something.

I consider that many people like to go to parks because when the weather is good, I can see a lot of people go to park. Breathing fresh air and lying on the grass can make people feel better. So sometimes I also visit a park for resting.

Why do people visit parks?

As I have mention earlier, spending time in a park make people feel rejuvenated. Many Korean have an extremely busy schedules so when they have a free time they want to relax and in a park, people can be relax without stress.

IELTS speaking part 3. Do you think children can learn something from TV programs?

Do you think children can learn something from TV programs?

Yes I definitely believe that children can learn something from TV programs. Many children like watching cartoons and animation. Even though that programs are for children, That contents have a their own massage such as “importance of living together”, “lie is bad thing”. Moreover they tell their stories easily so children can understand well.

What do you think are the negative influences that children can acquire from the media?

Children can be exposed to a lot of bad contents as much as the good there. So they can see some violent or sexual programs easily. When they see harmful scene of some programs, there is a possibility that they will follow whatever they have seen in the media because they can’t distinguish the difference between rights and wrongs well.

In school, can media be used as an educational tool?

Base on my experience, media can be used as an educational tool. When I was a child, our school used educational TV programs such as science, history and foreign languages and I could understand more easily.

Many schools use different kinds of technology for teaching. I guess the most useful type of technology is computer. We can access diverse and useful source for learning and also we can understand effectively.

IELTS speaking part 3.What situations would people usually say sorry to others?

IELTS speaking part 3.What situations would people usually say sorry to others?

What situations would people usually say sorry to others?

I suppose that people apology to others when they break their promise or damage to other and they also say sorry to others when they make mistakes or fault.

Do people say sorry even when they don’t feel like doing it?

Of course yes. I think there are some cases about your question. If someone avoid argument (quarrel, fight) and just want to let the situation pass, they will apology to other even though they don’t feel like. And another case is that when people are conscious of others, they also say sorry though they don’t want to.

Why are some people reluctant to say sorry?

In my case, sometime I also hesitate to say sorry to others. I know that is my fault but sometime I don’t want to admit that because of self-respect. So I think people who have a too much pride  don’t want to bow down to others because of same reason what I have.

Do you think people’s behaviors affect others?

Yes. As for me, when I meet people who have a lot of passion, I think positive and I get bright energy from them. But when I’m with negative people, I become lethargic. I don’t want to meet that kind of people. So I consider that people’s behaviors affect others.

Should people care about others?

Yes. People are social creatures. They have their own talent. So when we help each other by using their own ability, we can fill our insufficient part and our lives are getting better.  “No man is an island.” We need each other to survive.

Definitely notTo be honest, I really hate science. I'm not interested in that. Because Science is asking objective answers not subjective opinions, so I really sick and tired doing something about science

I have no interest in them.
= I'm not interested in them.

Are you going to study more about Science?

Yes. Although I have no interest in Science, I have to study more about that.
Because my major, 'sports medicine' is related to science a lot.
It is really ironic that even though I hate science, I  still have to and I need to study about that. Unfortunately I can't get away with it.

It is ironic that.
= I find it ironic that.

Do you often watch science programs on TV?

I don't like watching science programs too but I often read science books related with physiology, cardiology or physiotherapy because of my major.

The HimalayasTrekking : Precious memory with dear friends

I really thankful having this memorable travel.  I'll never forget!!
Sharing my times with people who i love is the one of most valuable things.

소중한 사람들과 잊을수 없는 시간을 공유할 수 있다는 것만으로도 행복했던 시간.
